Octorara Angels Rainbow Run and Carbon Monoxide Awareness Event

Get Octorara Back on Track After a Tragedy

On June 4th, 2016, The Octorara School District will be hosting the 2nd Annual Octorara Angels Rainbow Run and Carbon Monoxide Awareness Event. Our theme this year Believe in Love! This 5K color run/walk and fun community event has a dual purpose – not only to help the Octorara School Get Back on Track and repair the high school track, which is in a terrible state of disrepair, but to also raise awareness of Carbon Monoxide Poisoning, CO the Silent Killer which took the lives of Carly Imbierowicz and Daulton Pointek on November 22, 2014. The Octorara Angels Rainbow Run was inspired by Carly and it honors All Our Angels in Heaven. Registration begins at 7:30 AM and the 5K Color Run/Walk begins at 9 AM. Pre-register for the event at and search for Octorara Angels. The Color Run is immediately followed by the OA Best Expo at the Octorara High School across the street from the Rainbow Run. At 12 noon, the highly anticipated drawing for the 2016 Corvette StingRay or $50,000 cash will be chosen along with a 50/50 Raffle; both benefit the efforts to restore the Octorara high school track. This community day fair goes until 2 pm and showcases what Octorara students have achieved and promotes Career Pathways in Agriculture, Engineering, Industrial Technology, Human Services, Science, and the Arts. OA BEST Expo is a collaborative community event. Local industry partners, such as Chester/Delaware County Farm Bureau, AgConnect, Wawa, Organic Unlimited, and Delaware Valley University are joining the Expo with a variety of interesting and fun filled demonstrations guaranteed to pique the interest of all members of the community. Student demonstrations, gardening tips, science fair exhibits, K-12 art show, First Responder demonstrations, fire trucks, petting zoo, music, games, hayrides, food, and many more fun filled activities take place and a large tractor show. If you are unable to attend the day of festivities you can still Help Get Our Community Back on Track by making tax deductible donations.
