Family Films: The Sandlot

Join us throughout baseball season for a cinema series filled with baseball classics, documentaries, and family films that examine, commemorate, and celebrate America’s love of the game. About The Sandlot (USA, 1993, 101 minutes) “You’re killin’ me, Smalls!” Scotty Smalls tells his story as the new kid on the block in this family favorite. Urged to make friends, but socially inept, he tries out for the local pickup team to ward off his mother. The ringleader takes the unlikely prospect under his wing, paving the way for antics galore. A highly quotable film with appearances from Karen Allen, James Earl Jones, and Denis Leary. More fun films for the whole family Second Sundays at 1:00 pm The Bad News Bears: April 13, July 13, and October 12 The Sandlot: May 11 Rookie of the Year: June 8 and September 14
