Chadds Ford Elementary welcomes over 70 local and regional professional artists from the Brandywine Valley and beyond at the 65th Annual Art Sale & Show on March 21-22, 2014. Artists display and sell their art in an array of mediums to satisfy every taste and budget. The show’s Featured Artist is the nationally known American Realist painter, J. Wayne Bystrom. His oil paintings focus on beautiful landscapes, historical sites, wildlife, and garden scenes. Bystrom has had
successful exhibitions in prominent East Coast art galleries including Philadelphia and New York. The
Donating Artist is Shawn Faust, an award winning Brandywine Valley artist who creates magnificent oil
paintings of horses, landscapes, and people. Some of Faust's famous commissions include Barbaro and
This year's 65th annual show also welcomes special Artisan guests from around the area to its show on
March 22nd. Artisan goods include hand crafted jewelry, wooden items, food samples, and much more.

When: Friday, March 21st, 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. – Complimentary Reception & Sale (Adults Only).
Saturday, March 22nd, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. – Exhibit & Sale (Children Welcome)
Guests: Artisan Showcase on Saturday, March 22nd from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Events: Free guided Art Tours of the art collection at Chadds Ford Elementary, 11:30 a.m.
and 2:00 p.m; Children’s Art Cafe, 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

About the Chadds Ford Annual Art Sale & Show
Betsy Wyeth, wife of the late Andrew Wyeth, started the Chadds Ford Annual Art Sale & Show in 1949
and continued her involvement in the show while her son Jamie Wyeth was a student at Chadds Ford
Elementary. The annual sale continues to serve as the school’s largest fundraiser, providing funding
support for school programs. Chadds Ford Elementary was founded in the early 1900s and received the
National Blue Ribbon in Excellence Award in 2008.
