“First Entrepreneur: How George Washington Built His – and the Nation’s – Prosperity”

Presented By Acclaimed Military Historian & Renowned Author Edward Lengel At Washington Memorial Chapel

Acclaimed military historian and author of George Washington: A Military Life Edward Lengel will be the featured speaker at The Washington Memorial Chapel on Tuesday, April 3 at 7 PM.


During his much-anticipated lecture entitled “First Entrepreneur: How George Washington Built His – and the Nation’s – Prosperity,” Lengel will discuss how George Washington’s abilities as a businessman informed his leadership as a general and president and set the foundation for the nation’s future prosperity.


This exclusive evening is part of the Washington Memorial Chapel & Valley Forge Park Alliance’s popular Speaker Series, which is open to the public and features an array of historians, scientists, authors, archaeologists, actors and performers sharing their multiple points of view on history, the natural world and the ongoing commemoration of Valley Forge and the American Revolution in a relaxed and comfortable setting on the first Tuesday of the month from now until May.


The talks are sponsored by Malvern Federal and the Sherrin H and Bruce A. Baky Foundation. Presentations are held at Washington Memorial Chapel, on Route 23 in Valley Forge, on Tuesdays at 7 PM unless otherwise noted. Suggested donation of $10 per person.
