Tree Festival
Celebrate the ecosystem's giants at Mt. Cuba Center
Look up! Celebrate our ecosystem's giants at the Tree Festival on Sunday, September 24th. This all-day event features family friendly fun and opportunities to learn more about the nature that surrounds us. Gaze into the Woods Path canopy, don a pair of butterfly wings, and switch to “tree time” in the gardens. Discover the lives of trees from seed to stump through conversations with Mt. Cuba Center’s docents, educators and arborists, as well as our partners: Delaware Center for Horticulture, Bartlett Tree Experts, and Morris Arboretum. Coffee drinks will be available from Scission Espresso, and native trees will be for sale from Redbud Native Plant Nursery. Flatland Drive Bluegrass Band will be the day’s live musical entertainment. Kick back, grab a bite to eat from one of our food trucks (Troops BBQ and the Box Lunch), or play lawn games on the Main Lawn. Tree Festival activities are included with general admission (Free for season pass holders and children under 6, $5 for children ages 6-17, and $10 for adults).
