The leaves are changing, the air is chilling, and the smell of pumpkin and apple cider is all around (and in our fall scented candles). It's the perfect time of year to visit a local farm and pick your favorite pumpkin, enjoy a hayride and maybe a corn maze adventure. Grab some donuts and fall treats while you're there!

Milburn Orchards Big Back Yard
Fall Festival Weekends at Miburn Orchard in Elkton, MD host a different theme each weekend - Fridays too. Online pre-purchase tickets are required, and admission includes Miburn’s Corn Maze Adventure, Bale Trail, Milky Sway, and the Boo Barn (spooky, not scary!). Milburn’s standard Big Back Yard activities are also included, with a play set, giant tube rolling, the spider web cargo net and much much more. 

U-Pick Apple Adventures are also open every Saturday and Sunday, ending October 29th. Choose between a variety of apples for baking, eating or canning. 

Food and ice cream are available at on the Orchard Deck, and stop into the Farm Market for Milburn’s famous apple cider donuts (bet you can’t have just one!), fall decorations, fresh produce and so much more!

Pumpkinland at Linvilla Orchards
Open through November 5th, Pumpkinland lives up its name with hundreds of pumpkins in all shapes, colors and sizes. Bring home your perfect carving pumpkin, or create a custom stack for your fall decor. Adventure through one of the Linvilla corn mazes, and reward yourself after with tasty treats from the farm market and vendors. Hayrides will run with different themes, including the Harvest Hayrides throughout the season, Hayrides to the Witch’s House weekends in September and October, and Autumn Moon Hayrides through November 4th. Check out the amazing carving artistry at the Jack O Lantern exhibit October 20th - 30th.

Located in Downingtown, Highland Orchards is a staple for U-Pick produce throughout the summer and “Best of Philly” cider donuts. Their farm market is packed with delicious produce and fall treats, and kids can visit the barnyard animals and play on the play set. Highland’s Fall Festival weekends features pumpkin patch picking and apple picking, hayrides (with private group rides available for booking) and an aMAZEing corn maze! Levante Beer Garden is open 11am-6pm at the market Saturdays and Sundays through the end of October.

Milky Way Farms
Chester Springs Creamery at Milky Way Farms is a summertime favorite for their homemade ice cream, made straight from their dairy own cows. Fall brings new fun on Saturdays and Sundays through October 29th, where a $5 admission ticket takes you on a 2 hour experience with a corn maze, a visit to the farm animals, and a stroll through the pumpkin patch. For $9, you can hop on a hayride that takes you to a pumpkin patch where you can pick your own pumpkins for purchase. 

Smith Produce Farm 
Day time at Smith Produce Farm offers the whole family lots of activities, including a farm market of homemade baked goods and fall decor, a corn maze, hayride, and lots of activities for kids. When the sun goes down on select nights in October, the Haunted Barn and Flashlight Corn Maze brings out the spooky fun. BYOF (Bring your own flashlight) to keep the ghosts away! Cash or check only.
