Uncle Irvin: Connors has one more year!

10/25/2016 12:00PM ● By Richard Gaw
On Dec. 31, 2017, London Grove Township's deal to run Inniscrone Golf Course with Heathland Hospitality expires.
If Heathland doesn't recommit and London Grove supervisors cannot find another manager, London Grove taxpayers will be responsible for the interest, principal, capital improvements, and accumulated losses easily approaching $1.5 million.
There is really only one supervisor to blame: David Connors, who was chair at the time of Heathland's becoming manager, and the legal fiasco of ousting Laurie VanSickle, the manager at that time, and the legal settlement London Grove made with her and cavalierly signed a bad deal with Heathland.
Connors, who allegedly runs a successful landscape business, must have thought he was Donald Trump, handling Inniscrone like Atlantic City's Taj Mahal Casino, and taking risks that will be borne by all property owners.
Connors is up for re-election next year. Need I say more?
