Get outside and enjoy the snow!
01/20/2016 09:30AM ● By J. ChamblessWith winter weather and snow finally arriving in our area, it's time to get outside for some fun and exercise.
Whether you want to go
cross-country skiing, snowshoeing or sledding with your kids, there
are some great locations available within just a few miles of Kennett
Square. The Land Conservancy of Southern Chester County has several
preserves that are perfect for getting out to enjoy the winter weather.
Stateline Woods preserve, three miles outside
of Kennett Square on Old Kennett Pike, offers four miles of trails
that are perfect for cross-country skiing and will be groomed when
there are at least four inches of snow. The open fields and
rolling hills at Stateline are also great for sledding.
Or you can go four miles out of Kennett Square towards Yorklyn, Del., to
Marshall Bridge preserve for three miles of gentle trails along the
scenic Red Clay Creek. And the Marshall Mill House on Creek
road offers 1.5 miles of wooded trails over moderate terrain.

Get out and make some memories before it all melts!
