THREATS AND ASSAULT

On Dec. 21 at 9:11 p.m., New Garden Township Police responded to a home in the 100 block of Eden Road for a report of a suspicious vehicle in the driveway. They found Edward Koenig, 53, of Landenberg in the car. The caller told police that she and Koenig had been in an altercation that began on Dec. 20. The victim told police that Koenig threatened threatened to kill her and threw an alcoholic beverage in her face. Koenig was charged with making terroristic threats, simple assault and harassment. He was later released on $5,000 bail.

On Dec. 27 at 6:10 a.m., New Garden Township Police responded to the 100 block of Thompson Road and found Zachary Baker, 25, of Kennett Square, who had been sprayed with mace. The woman who had called police said that Thomas had struck her in the face and head several times, and that she had used mace in self-defense. Police arrested Baker for simple assault, harassment and unlawful dissemination of images. He was taken to Chester County Prison after failing to post bail.

WALMART THEFT

Pennsylvania State Police are investigating a theft from the Walmart store in East Marlborough Township on Jan. 2 at 3:30 p.m. Police said a man wearing camouflage pants and a dark top with a teardrop tattoo under his eye, and a woman wearing dark pants and top, took items from the store without paying. They were confronted by an employee, who was then punched in the back of the head. The suspects fled in a white Chevy Impala with PA registration JRP7326. Anyone with information is asked to call Trooper Sterling at 610-268-2022.

DUI

Dennis Noel Garcia, 26, of Oxford, was arrested for DUI by Pennsylvania State Police Avondale on Dec. 20 after committing two traffic offenses on Third Street in Oxford.

Diego Armando Martinez Cordova, of Mexico, was arrested for DUI after a traffic stop on Dec. 19 on Route 1 in New Garden Township, according to Pennsylvania State Police Avondale.

Patrick Alan Hayden, 33, of Philadelphia, was arrested for DUI by Pennsylvania State Police Avondale after a traffic stop on Dec. 18 at 8:39 p.m. on Route 1, north of Route 841.

Bobby Laron Pipkin, 34, of Oxford, was arrested for DUI by Pennsylvania State Police Avondale on Dec. 27 at 3:08 a.m. after a traffic stop on Route 1, south of Newark Road.

Alan Cristian Herrera, of West Grove, was arrested for DUI on Dec. 17 after a traffic stop, according to Pennsylvania State Police Avondale. He was charged with suspicion of DUI and possession of a small amount of marijuana.

Jorge Luis Lopez-Caamargo, of West Grove, was arrested for DUI on Dec. 15 after a traffic stop on Pennsylvania Avenue in Avondale, according to Pennsylvania State Police Avondale. He was arrested for DUI and possession of a small amount of marijuana.

Sandra Davalos Beltran, 23, of Oxford, was arrested for DUI on Dec. 18 after a traffic stop on Route 1 at Route 796, according to Pennsylvania State Police Avondale.

New Garden Township Police arrested Aaron Kakol, 24, of Purcellville, Va., for DUI on Dec. 28 at 1:51 a.m., after he was pulled over on Buttonwood Road for speeding and having an equipment violation. There was an odor of marijuana in his vehicle, and Kakol admitted to having marijuana in the center console. Police seized more than three grams of marijuana and paraphernalia.

Pennsylvania State Police arrested James Leonard Murphy, of Oxford, for DUI on Jan. 2 at the Walmart in Oxford after a traffic stop. Murphy was also charged with disorderly conduct and public drunkenness.

New Garden Township Police responded to a two-car collision on Jan. 3 at 12:03 a.m. on Broad Run Road, west of Eden Road. One car was in the road, and the other was in a nearby field. Police learned that the striking vehicle had been speeding and struck the oncoming vehicle on a curve. The driver of the striking vehicle, Matthew Munson, 21, of Landenberg, showed signs of intoxication and admitted to police at the scene that he had been drinking. He failed field sobriety tests, was arrested for DUI, and later released to his parents pending a court appearance.

Pennsylvania State Police Avondale arrested Mitchell Roberts Devlin of Rockville, Md., for DUI on Jan. 2 at 12:20 a.m. on Route 1 at Route 841.

Pennsylvania State Police Avondale arrested James Isaac Myers, Jr., of Quarryville, for DUI on Jan. 1 at 9:45 p.m. after a traffic stop on Route 1 at Route 896.

Pennsylvania State Police responding to a crash on West Baltimore Pike west of Sunnyside Road on Jan. 1 at 6 a.m. found that the driver, Christian Gerardo Noriega-Lara, 26, of Oxford, was DUI. He was taken into custody and charged.
