05/27/2015 01:47PM ● By Richard Gaw
The work of 40 professional artists from all over the United States will converge upon Downingtown this weekend for this year's Downingtown Fine Arts Festival, scheduled for May 30 and 31 at the municipal parking lot on the 100 block of East Lancaster Avenue, in Downingtown.

Local artists, as well as those from as far away as Georgia, Tennessee, Missouri, Maine and Ohio will display a full and varied array of fine art, including paintings, drawings, sculpture, jewelry, photography, mixed media art and fabric art. Presented by David Olseki Events and the Downingtown Main Street Association, the event is being produced in partnership with Victory Brewing Company and the Borough of Downingtown.

Lancaster Avenue will be closed to vehicle traffic to accommodate the crowds, as a number of food and informational vendors. A music stage featuring the Downingtown School of Rock will help to create a lively and festive weekend event. The two-day fine arts festival weekend will build upon what has become an established community tradition.

The festival will be open on May 30, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and on May 31, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. It will be free and open to the public.
