Oxford shouldn't seek to demolish historic building

Well, Uncle Irvin, once again you are proving to be a good fiction writer.
This time you and two former Oxford businessmen are proposing to use the big stick of eminent domain to demolish a beautiful and historic property and turn it into a parking lot. The cost to do this would be astronomical. There are a lot of other options to add parking spots that would be much less costly. [Tearing down the Adams Building] would be the equivalent of tearing down the Statue of Liberty to put in a swimming pool. Remember that the Red Rose Inn has actually been saved by the municipality. If you can't see what a terrible idea this is then you guys must be the Three Blind Mice. To quote an old Joni Mitchell song:
Don't it always seem to go
That you don't know what you got 'til it's gone
They paved paradise and put up a parking lot
