Last week, Kennett High School announced this year’s National Merit Commended students (back row, left to right): Stephen Doroba, Annabelle Schmitt, Jessica Rosenau, Phoebe Hertler, Arshia Faghri,  Matthew Bunke; and (front row, left to right): Kavya Shetty, Hali Jiang, Zixuan Shen, and Laura Elliott. “We are so proud of these outstanding students, not only for their exceptional performance on standardized tests, but also for all the other ways in which they enrich the Kennett Square community," said Dr. Michael Barber, Kennett High School principal.

Although the students do not continue in the competition for Merit Scholarships, they placed among the top 5 percent of the 1.4 million students who entered the 2015 Merit Scholarship competition by taking the 2013 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test.
