A 24-year-old bicylist was struck and killed while riding along Route 926 near Schoolhouse Road in East Marlborough Township on the morning of Aug. 23.

Police said Arthur Joseff Teitsort-Birog, of Kennett Square, was found near the road at 2:20 a.m. Saturday. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Police reported that he was struck at around midnight, but the car did not stop.

Police said the rear of Teitsort-Birog’s bicycle was struck by a Jeep Liberty driven by Alan Michael Medina Barajas, 21, of Pocopson. Police later found the Jeep at the driver's home nearby. No charges have been filed yet, but police are asking anyone who has more information to call Pennsylvania State Police Avondale at 610-268-2022.

Teitsort-Birog was an employee at the Northbrook Marketplace at Route 842 and Northbrook Road
