Mehr earns Eagle Scout ranking

06/25/2014 10:38AM ● Published by ACL

Sean Mehr of West Grove has earned the rank of Eagle Scout. Mehr is a junior at Avon Grove High School and a member of Boy Scout Troop 24 in Kennett Square.

He provided a leadership role in the service project, which benefited pediatric cancer patients and their families. Working with a non-profit organization called Adopt-A-Pig, Sean made coping kits that were distributed by Nemours AI DuPont Hospital for children. He collected $7,000 in cash and items that were used in the coping kits. Many local businesses, Lions Clubs, Rotary Clubs, and personal donations contributed to his project. Visit www.adoptapig.org for information about the worthy cause.
