Hillendale run will help local kids in need

05/07/2014 01:30PM ● Published by ACL

The Hillendale Elementary PTO is hosting their third annual 5K and one-mile fun run/walk on May 10 at 9 a.m. This year, the event is a fundraiser to help kids living in poverty. All proceeds will go to Operation Warm, a non-profit that provides new coats to kids in need.

“The Hillendale family is a strong supporter of community, and this event is a great way for our students to help kids their own age,” said Steve Dissenger, Hillendale’s principal.

The run will start and finish at Hillendale Elementary and will weave through one of the

school’s neighboring communities. There will be raffle items as well. Those who pre-register for the event get a free T-shirt. Visit

Race day registration is also available.
