Kennett Square bakery plans move, adds new facility

Sweet Christine's Bakery recently cut the ribbon on the opening of a new production facility on Birch Street in Kennett Square. For the past several years, visitors to Sweet Christine's Bakery on State Street in Kennett Square have enjoyed the intimate ambiance of entering a small cafe in a quaint town. Soon, however, all good things will come to an end, only to be made better.
The bakery will be relocating to its new location on 503 Orchard Avenue in Kennett Square, just off of Baltimore Pike in Kennett Square, and about one mile south of Longwood Gardens. The move, projected to be completed by the end of April, will enable the company to have expanded room for retail space, as well as offer guests the opportunity to hold events, meetings and private parties on the premises. The location will provide more parking accommodations, indoor and outdoor seating, and a wide assortment of baked goods, grab-no-go items and hot breakfast and lunch items.
The new location is not the only new door Sweet Christine's is opening this spring. Recently, it held a ribbon-cutting ceremony to officially open a new wholesale production facility on Birch Street in Kennett Square.
First opened in 2005 and committed to the celiac- and allergen-free communities, Sweet Christine's offers a large selection of gluten-free breads and sweets, as well as an on-line bakery that provides shipment to homes, stores, restaurants, colleges and universities, hospitals, farmer's markets, hotels and concessions at sporting complexes.
