Morgan Staley is joined at the signing by her parents, Mike and Gerilynn Staley and Kennett High School’s Athletic Director Jeff Thomas.

Kennett High School senior Morgan Staley recently signed a letter of intent to play soccer for Kutztown University’s Division II team during a ceremony in late February.

Morgan began playing club soccer when she was four years old. When she was seven, she was named to the travel team.  Her team, the Delaware Rush (Hockessin) Blast, is the seven-time reigning Delaware State Champions for their age group.  In 2010, the Blast was the USYS Region 1 Finalist and in 2013 the team was a USYS Region 1 semi-finalist. The team has participated in tournaments from Maine to Florida, West Virginia, and California.

Morgan played soccer and lacrosse her freshman year for Kennett High School, earning varsity letters in both sports. She also pole-vaulted for the high school’s track and field team her sophomore year.  When she wasn’t playing sports, Morgan volunteers for TOP Soccer, a program for young athletes with disabilities.

Morgan is excited to take her soccer career to the next level at Kutztown University, and off the field will major in biology/pre-med with the goal of becoming a physician’s assistant specializing in orthopedics.
