More dumbing down

Why did it take Pennsylvania 200 years to require that school districts embrace the Keystone Exams?
The primary goal of Keystone Exams is to stop giving high school diplomas to everybody, including the functional illiterate, but rather to guarantee that high school graduates have to demonstrate proficiency goals.
In southern Chester County the premier district, Unionville Chadds Ford, supports the Keystone Exams.
All others, particularly Avon Grove, are dead set against adapting Keystone Exams.
What are Avon Grove and other school districts afraid of?
These school boards know that their districts will be forced to hold back automatic high school diplomas at an alarming rate, making them look bad.
Not requiring graduating seniors to pass Keystone Exams to earn a diploma is bad public policy, now more than ever.
The need to upgrade high school graduates to the highest level possible is in everyone's best interest, including the student.
Wake up Avon Grove and others opposed.
