It's two months away, but for people who have made the Kennett Winterfest an annual tradition, it's not too early to get tickets for the Feb. 22 event in Kennett Square.

Tickets, at $65, went on sale Dec. 4 for the event, which will be held under a heated tent on South Broad Street between State and Cypress streets. From 12:30 to 4 p.m., participants can get unlimited tastings of regional microbrews and foods from Country Butcher. The Shady Groove Trio will be playing live.

New this year is a “Def Con 1” ticket package ($85), which lets participants take part from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., with samples of three Victory barrel-aged beers and a class in “Victory Mixology,” blending beers with the help of the brewmasters themselves. There will be oysters and shrimp from George and Sons Seafood, sushi from Lily's, and cheese and charcuterie from the County Butcher. Ticket holders can then take part in the regular festival, including the food tent. There will be only 50 of these VIP tickets sold.

Advance tickets are available online only (www.kennettbrewfest.com). No tickets will be sold at the door. Tickets are required for all attendees. No one under 21 will be admitted, and no babies are allowed. The event goes on, rain, snow or shine. Tickets for designated drivers are $20, and include the food tent but no alcohol.
