The Tome School offers academic excellence to students

The Tome School, which now has a full-day kindergarten program, offers academic excellence to K-12 students. Here are some facts about the school, which serves Cecil, Harford, New Castle, Kent, and southern Chester counties:

· College preparatory K-12 school with 500 students located on a beautiful 100-acre campus

· Rigorous academic curriculum taught at the honors level

· Honor Code that promotes the highest standards in academic and personal behavior

· Strong writing program with small class sizes

· Tuition is significantly lower than other independent schools, and thirty percent of students receive financial aid

· The average full-time faculty member has been at Tome School for more than twelve years.

· Varsity Sports include: Baseball, Basketball, Cheerleading, Cross-Country, Field Hockey, Soccer, Softball, Tennis, Volleyball

· Activities include: Chess Club, Destination Imagination, Drama Club, Environmental Club, Envirothon, Key Club, Literary Magazine, National Honor Society, Newspaper, and Student Council

· The 33 students in the Class of 2012 were offered a total of more than $3.8 million in merit scholarships
