First Friday scavenger hunt to focus on Oxford history

The public is invited to join the Oxford Area School District's Federal Grants Community Involvement Program for a scavenger hunt of Oxford history at Oxford Mainstreet Inc.'s First Friday event in downtown Oxford on Oct. 4 from 5 to 7:30 p.m.

Participants should start at the Federal Programs Community Involvement booth on the Edward Jones lawn, next to the Post Office on Locust Street, where guides to Oxford's downtown history are available. Follow the guide's clues to all locations and then return to the starting point.
