Oxford Rotary Club takes steps to making a house beautiful

On Sept. 14, members and friends of the Rotary Club of Oxford volunteered to help Good Neighbors complete a home improvement project on Locust Street in Oxford Borough.

Club members spent the morning painting the steps, top and bottom, on a two-story outside staircase. Good Neighbors volunteers work to make homes warmer, safer, drier and healthier for qualified homeowners, with a vision of eliminating substandard housing in southern Chester County.

Pictured (top from left) are Oxford Area High School student volunteers Stephanie Norris and Kasey Busko, who are currently organizing an Interact Club at their school to be sponsored by the Oxford Rotary Club. Front (from left) are club member Marilyn Knaub, homeowner Pearl Teel, volunteer Andrew Knaub, club member Phil Sacks, club president Chip Lewis, Good Neighbors project coordinator Phil Smith and club member Charles Vickery.
