Author of book on Eleanor Roosevelt to speak

The Oxford Area Historical Association will meet at 7 p.m. on Oct. 8 at the Oxford Presbyterian Church Social Hall (Pine Street, Oxford). The presenter will be Ann Atkins, who will be speaking about her new book, "Eleanor Roosevelt, A Life of Soul Searching and Self." Atkins will discuss the story of Eleanor's strong and intelligent personality, as she dealt with her difficult position in her life and the nation.

The public is invited. There is no charge to attend. For more information, call 717-548-2048.
