Upland Country Day elects Student Council officers

Upland Country Day School students recently selected Student Council officers for grades six through nine. Elected to office for 2013-2014 are Will McCarter, president; Avery Walker, vice president; Connor Hyzny, vice president; Remy Davis-Tinnell, secretary and Phillip Gow, treasurer.

The Upland Student Council plays a role in campus life by organizing fundraising activities and food drives, community service projects, school dances, spirit weeks and assemblies, floats for community parades, and other activities for the school throughout the year.

To be elected, candidates must demonstrate strong leadership skills and academic performance, as well as demonstrated service and contribution to the school community.
