Galer Estate Wins Best in Class, Plus Penns Woods Earns Honors

Kennett Square's Galer Estate Vineyard & Winery was noted for its Equivine Chardonnay in the International East Wine Competition, which was staged in Sonoma, Calif., according to a Feb. 21 article by Paul Vigna at PennLive.
The wine won best in class in the nationwide competition, which also included Korean selections. Chadds Fords' Penns Woods Winery also picked up honors in the show, receiving a double gold for its Traminette.
