Police seek bank robbery suspect
08/19/2014 04:19PM ● By AclLocal police are looking for the suspect in a bank robbery that took place in Kennett Square on Aug. 15.
According to Chester County District Attorney Tom Hogan's office, a man walked into the Santander Bank at 313 W. Cypress St. at approximately 8:50 this morning and announced that he was holding the bank up. The suspect stole cash and placed it in a blue canvas bag with black straps. He then gave the teller the impression that he had a weapon or explosive. The suspect fled the bank on foot.
The suspect is described as a 5'6'' male with a medium build. He had a short goatee and wore a gray, zip-up hoodie with a Puma logo on the left chest, blue jeans, a black Philadelphia Eagles hat, and sunglasses. Kennett Square Police are being assisted by the Chester County Detectives, the Pennsylvania State Police, the New Garden Township Police, and the Kennett Township Police.
