The Verizon Wireless store located in the Oxford Commons shopping center, and parent company The Cellular Connection, recently donated “Teachers Rock Supply Packs" to ten teachers in the Oxford Area School District who were selected by their building principals. The packs contain a variety of classroom supplies including pens and pencils, markers, tape, dry erase boards and many other items. At Hopewell Elementary School, supply packs were presented to Jennifer Sauer’s sixth grade class and David Pugliese’s fifth grade class by Verizon store manager Kirstie Perez. The “Teachers Rock” program is made possible by Verizon customers through in-store collections. Each fall, the store also donates backpacks filled with school supplies to several Oxford students.
