Kennett Square Police Department - Dealing in Proceeds of Unlawful Activity +: Vilchis-Nava
On April 21, 2023, at 8:49AM, Officers were dispatched for a phone assignment in reference to ex-employees creating fraudulent checks from a business located in the 300 Block of W. State Street, Kennett Square Borough. The owner of the business advised they had given some employees consent to write checks for business-related purposes. They indicated the ex-employees wrote approximately $133,000 in fraudulent checks. The owner noticed this activity around September 2022 and after further investigation, determined it had been occurring since April or May of 2021. On November 13, 2023, criminal complaints were completed for this incident and District Court 15-3-04 issued an Arrest Warrant for Maria De La Luz Vilchis-Nava on November 15, 2023.

State Street, Kennett Square Borough. The owner of the business advised they had given some employees consent to write checks for business-related purposes. They indicated the ex-employees wrote approximately $133,000 in fraudulent checks. The owner noticed this activity around September 2022 and after further investigation, determined it had been occurring since April or May of 2021. On November 13, 2023, criminal complaints were completed for this incident and District Court 15-3-04 issued an Arrest Warrant for Carla Renteria on November 17, 2023.

On April 21, 2023, at 8:49AM, Officers were dispatched for a phone assignment in reference to ex-employees creating fraudulent checks from a business located in the 300 Block of W. State Street, Kennett Square Borough. The owner of the business advised they had given some employees consent to write checks for business-related purposes. They indicated the ex-employees wrote approximately $133,000 in fraudulent checks. The owner noticed this activity around September 2022 and after further investigation, determined it had been occurring since April or May of 2021. On November 13, 2023, criminal complaints were completed for this incident and District Court 15-3-04 issued an Arrest Warrant for Hilda Domingez-Bastida on November 17, 2023.
Oxford Police Department - Aggravated Assault +: Henderson
On November 16, 2023 at 12:33am the Oxford Police were dispatched to the 100 Blk North Fifth Street for a domestic disturbance involving a weapon. Upon arrival Officers made contact with the victim who stated that the actor, Drew Henderson, 49, of Oxford had chased him with a machete after a verbal argument. After further investigation and taking statements from witnesses, Henderson was taken into custody and transported to Oxford Police for processing. Henderson will be transported by Constables to Chester County Prison where he will await arraignment.

This evening Union Fire & EMS units, along with mutual aid from West Grove,Rising Sun,, Cochranville, Avondale,Longwood, Bart, Quarryville,Christiana, Medic 94, & Chester County operated at a commercial structure fire in the 200 blk of Township Road, Lower Oxford Township. Crews arrived to well involved fire conditions and operated for four hours to complete extinguishment. The fire was contained to the building of origin and one civilian injury is reported at this fire.

The Southern Chester County Regional Police Department is investigating a burglary which occurred at the Vape and Smoke shop located at 345 Scarlett Road, in New Garden Township. The burglary occurred on October 25th at 0315 hours in the morning. Video surveillance shows three masked actors who operated a silver sedan (See above). Please note that the vehicle is missing a hubcap on the front driver and passenger side tires. Kennett Square Police Department - Terroristic Threats: Vazquez-Lopez
On November 1, 2023, District Court 15-3-044 issued an Arrest Warrant for Rosa Vazquez-Lopez for the following incident. On October 25, 2023, at 1:54PM, Officers received a CY47 report regarding the suspected child abuse of a juvenile by their parent, identified as Rosa Vazquez-Lopez. The CY47 report read that Vazquez-Lopez has allegedly been physically and emotionally abusive to a juvenile and adult family members. Upon further investigation, and assistance from the District Attorney's Office, a Criminal Complaint was completed for Rosa Vazquez-Lopez for Terroristic Threats, Endangering Welfare of Children, Simple Assault and Harassment. Charges were filed at District Court 15-3-04.
Kennett Square Police Department - Vandalism: Brunson
On October 30, 2023, at 8:30AM, Officers were dispatched for Institutional Vandalism in the parking garage, located at 100 E. Linden Street, Kennett Square Borough. Upon arrival, Officers made contact with the reporting party who advised they observed a broken pane of glass on the top floor of the parking garage. Officers were able to view video surveillance footage from the parking garage and observed a black, male subject, later identified as Kharee Brunson, who had thrown an unknown object through the window, breaking the glass. On November 3, 2023, a criminal complaint was completed for Kharee Brunson on the charges of Institutional Vandalism and related offenses and filed at District Court 15-3-04.
Kennett Square Police Department - Burglary: Castillo-Gomez
Location 200 Block S. Walnut Street Kennett Square, PA 19348
On October 30,2023, at 12:20AM, Officers were dispatched for a domestic in progress, between a male and female, in the 200 Block of S. Walnut Street, Kennett Square Borough. The reporting party advised dispatch they have a Protection from Abuse (PFA) order on Porfirio Castillo-Gomez. Officers confirmed the emergency PFA granted to the reporting party. Officers arrived on scene and observed Castillo-Gomez in a white utility van parked outside of the residence. After making contact with both subjects involved, Officers were advised Castillo-Gomez entered the residence of the reporting party without permission and allegedly twisted their arm to take their phone away. Porfilio Castillo-Gomez was taken into custody on charges of burglary and transported to Central Booking at Chester County Prison.
Kennett Square Police Department - DUI, Fleeing + More: Robinson
100 Block of W. State Street
Ross Robinson, age 54, of Newark, DE, was arrested and charged with DUI and related traffic offenses, after the red Dodge he was operating was stopped for traveling without headlights on, failing to stop at a steady red light and making a right hand turn at an intersection which is posted "No Turn on Red". The incident occurred on October 29, 2023, at 2:33AM, in the 100 Block of W. State Street, Kennett Square Borough. Upon making contact with Robinson, police observed indicators suggesting intoxication and field sobriety tests showed impairment. Robinson was taken into custody for suspicion of DUI and refused to submit to a chemical test of his blood. He was processed and later released, pending issuance of a summons. Charges were filed at District Court 15-3-04.
