Lyle, Lyle, Crocodile and Friends: The Art of Bernard Waber
This is the first major exhibition to explore the life and career of children’s book writer and illustrator, Bernard Waber (1921-2013). Through over 90 original illustrations and other artifacts, including newly discovered sketches and manuscripts, Lyle, Lyle explores the sometimes silly, but always poignant characters and worlds Waber created in more than 30 picture books over the course of his nearly 50-year career.
