Washington Memorial Chapel’s Veteran’s Commission to Honor Our Heroes with Heartfelt Veterans Day Service and Reception
The Service Will Feature Two Extraordinary Military Nurses from Different Eras of Conflict as Special Guest Speakers
Washington Memorial Chapel’s Veteran’s Commission has announced that it will host a special Veterans Day Service and Reception on Monday, November 11 at 11 AM at the Washington Memorial Chapel in Valley Forge.
The heartfelt Choral Matins Service will honor, remember, and celebrate all Veterans for their bravery, selflessness, and love of country. This year, the Veteran’s Commission is proud to reveal that special guest speakers May Tiger, a British Army Nurse during WWII, and Carol Mellom, an Air Force Nurse during Desert Shield and Iraqi Freedom, will be on hand to share their inspiring personal stories and experiences, shedding light on the evolving role of military nurses and the challenges they faced. The Rt. Rev’d Daniel G.P. Gutiérrez will also be in attendance.
Following the service, a luncheon reception will be held for all attendees. This patriotic event is free but donations are encouraged. The Chapel invites community members to come together to honor our heroes.
