Using simple tools and techniques, you will come away from the workshop with your very own hand-woven basket and an understanding of the importance of conserving the ecosystem and eradicating this pervasive vine. Learn how to identify, harvest, and prepare bittersweet vines for basket weaving. This program takes place in person at Mt. Cuba Center on Sunday, August 18, 2024. About the Instructor: Jules Davis is an art teacher and gardener. She holds a BA in Studio Art from the College of Wooster and is currently pursuing in M.Ed. in Art Education at Tyler School of Art. Jules has over twelve years of horticulture experience and brings her combined passion for ecology and education to everything she does. Her favorite native flower to spot in the Spring is Rue Anemone.
