I'm a local author with a new novel, At the Seams, out from Open Books. I'm writing to let you know I'll be signing books at Barnes & Noble in Exton on June 10 from 1:00-3:00.

As a journalist, I've written for many publications, including The New York Times, The Chicago Tribune, The Chicago Sun-Times, The Dallas Morning News, The Huffington Post, Slate, Salon, Medium, New York Magazine, Parenting, Redbook, Elle, D Magazine, Creators Syndicate, Gannett Newspapers and McClatchy, among others. My short stories have been published in numerous literary magazines.

The book tells the story of a precocious young girl who is haunted by a family mystery and grows up to be a reporter who investigates it, revealing a tale of repressed loss and maternal strength. It's based on true events.
