Art on the Square, a juried fine art and craft festival, is Kennett Square’s biggest art event of the year! In the heart of the culturally rich Brandywine Valley, the festival features a wide variety of professional artists specializing in two-dimensional and three-dimensional disciplines: painting, illustration, sculpture, glass, wood, photography, jewelry, pottery, fibers, mixed media, and furniture making. Artists will promote and sell their original artwork, communicate directly with the public, and represent the diverse artistic expression within our region during this one-day, open-air event. Now in its third year, Art on the Square is located at the intersection of W. State Street and S. Broad Street, in downtown Kennett Square, PA. For the first time this year, S. Broad Street will be closed to vehicle traffic so as to expand this growing festival. Art on the Square began in 2012 and coincides with the favored Annual Plant Sale presented by the Kennett Square Beautification Committee, now in its 49th year. The festival is presented by Kennett Area Restaurants and Merchants Association (KARMA) with support from the Kennett Area Arts Coalition (KAAC).
