Brandywine Ballet Performance - Carmina Burana
Artistic Director & Founder, Donna L. Muzio, is proud to present the first performance series of Brandywine Ballet’s 40th Anniversary Season.
Our fall program titled, Carmina Burana, will feature three dynamic and different works by Resident Choreographer, Nancy Page and a new contemporary dance piece, Visceral Form, by Tim Early and Rick Callender. Ms. Page’s powerful adaptation of Carmina Burana is set to composer, Carl Orff’s, masterpiece of the same name which is based on a collection of medieval poems and texts about life, fortune and fate. Never Ending Road is set to the strikingly beautiful music of Canadian born, Celtic Singer/Songwriter, Loreena McKennitt. Ms. Page’s Colour Brillanté is a celebration of the many changing colors of fall and is set to the music of Antonin Dvorak. Visceral Form is a piece set on Brandywine Contemporary dancers that looks to create a visceral response to the shapes and colors from artist, Stephen Early’s paintings. The piece is set to music by Gustavo Santoalla.
