Ecological Edible Landscapes

Learn permaculture basics.

Tired of paying for expensive vegetables? Concerned about pesticide residues on your child’s fruit? Wondering how to make more sustainable food choices? Join Eric Toensmeier as he explains the basics of permaculture, a holistic approach to landscaping and human culture. Find out how Eric transformed his city lot into his own food factory. Learn which native plants are edible, how to incorporate them into your landscape, and how to meet your needs while regenerating healthy ecosystems. Eric will sign copies of his books, including his most recent one, Paradise Lot: Two Plant Geeks, One Tenth of an Acre, and the Making of an Edible Garden Oasis in the City. Eric Toensmeier, from Perennial Solutions, studied and practiced permaculture since 1990. He is the author of Perennial Vegetables and co-author of Edible Forest Gardens with David Jacke. His current interest is large-scale permaculture farming as a carbon-sequestering solution to climate change.
