This is not a night to ‘fix’ the drug problem in our community, but to understand how drugs shape our culture and affect our families. Join us as we unpack this topic and hear from different speakers from 4 different areas of expertise. Each speaker will present for 10 minutes and the night will end with a Q&A session. Our Speakers:

Lex Remillard MSW | LCSW: Therapeutic Alliance

Lex is a trained behavioral health and substance abuse psychotherapist, in both residential, outpatient and intensive outpatient settings. He has over 12 years of experience in the field of substance abuse including 8 years of clinical experience working with adolescents, young adults, adults.

Jacki Smiro: Chester County NOPE

After the death of her son RJ in 2008, Jacki formed a Chester County Chapter of NOPE (Narcotics Overdose, Prevention, and Education) and has presented to over 20,000 students. Her foundation Live4RJ, has been actively advocating for families and those struggling with addiction.

Nance Weber: Celebrate Recovery

Nance has been involved in recovery for over 15 years both as a person in recovery and as a leader in Celebrate Recovery. She helped start the ministry at Willowdale Chapel over 9 years ago and is now serving as the Southeast Pennsylvania State Representative for the National Celebrate Recovery program.

Chief Gerald R. Simpson: Southern Chester County Police

Chief Simpson has been a law enforcement officer in Southern Chester County and the surrounding areas for 35 year. He has expressed his dedication to working with community and regional stakeholders to build alliances to seek solutions in an environment of communication and collaboration.
