Philadelphia Watercolor Society 118th Anniversary International Exhibition of Works on Paper
An exhibition of art work including watercolor, pastels, acrylic, graphite, gouache, charcoal, pen & ink, colored pencils and hand pulled prints.
The Philadelphia Water Color Society(PWCS) is hosting the 118th Anniversary International Exhibition of Works on Paper. The exhibition includes not only water colors but pastel, acrylic, graphite, gouache, charcoal, pen & ink, colored pencil and hand pulled prints. The PWCS was founded in 1900 to bring attention to those artists using aqueous media. The first exhibit was held at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts. Since then, various appropriate locations are selected to be the home of the art show each year. The exhibition has gained an international reputation for displaying some of the most creative artwork by a select group of artists.
This year, the Juror of Selection is Alan Wylie of British Columbia and the Judge of Awards is Alvaro Castagnet of Montevideo, Uruguay. The show opens on Sunday, October 14th at the Wayne Art Center in Wayne, Pa. It continues through to November 20, 2018 at 5:00P.M.
All works are for sale and all entries must be no older than 3 years.
