Visit Mt. Cuba Center for Summer Splash! on July 23rd. Enjoy a day of engaging and educational activities about how nature captures, stores and uses water. From a dragonfly discovery station, to scavenger hunts and story time, to a watershed demonstration model, the event will entertain gardeners and naturalists of all ages. Visitors are welcome to pack a picnic to enjoy in Mt. Cuba Center’s gardens or purchase food from an on-site food truck. Woodside Farm Creamery will be on-site selling farm-fresh ice cream. Mt. Cuba Center’s horticultural experts will also be on-hand to answer questions about water-wise gardening and demonstrate take-home tips about managing water in the home landscape. The first 100 families to visit will receive a free native plant to take home.
