In 1977 Wilmer Hostetter built a grain elevator to support the grain business that he started 10 years prior. That was the beginning of the Oxford location that consisted of a grain dryer, 20,000 “wet bin” and a 95,000 bushel storage bin. Currently the total capacity at Oxford is 2,200,000 bushels. In addition to that Hostetter Grain has two other locations. The Cochranville Elevator with a capacity of 1,050,000 bushels and the Mt. Pleasant Grain Elevator located in Frederick County, Maryland with a capacity of 1,580,000 bushels. In addition to serving the local farming communities surrounding the three grain elevators, Hostetter Grain buys and sells grain in Pennsylvania, Maryland, Delaware, New Jersey, Virginia and West Virginia. We offer contracts on a delivered basis or picked up on the farm for farmers that have on farm storage. We value each of our costumers and will take the time and effort to develop a marketing strategy to price your grain, schedule deliveries and pay promptly.
