Historic Yellow Springs is a living village steeped in such distinguished history, tradition, and folklore that it stirs the imagination of those who visit. The village spans over 275 years of American history. Today, the village includes 11 buildings and 142 acres. It was originally owned by the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts, and in 1974, the Yellow Springs Foundation and Yellow Springs Association joined forces to purchase the village of Yellow Springs to preserve it for future generations. Chester Springs Studio, a barn transformed into an art studio by the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts, continues to host a wide range of fine art, sculpture and ceramic classes for adults, teens and children.
