From our lens: Fly, Eagles, fly

To continue providing direct aid to pets affected by the wildfire relief efforts in Los Angeles, the Philadelphia Eagles donated funding that provided for the flight transportation of 56 large dogs from Van Nuys, Calif. to New Castle County Airport on Jan. 31. Through the work of Best Friends Animal Society, the animals will be cared for by the Providence Animal Center in Media, the Animal Care Sanctuary in East Smithfield, The Rescue Express in Garnet Valley and at animal welfare organizations in Massachusetts, New York and Virginia. Since the start of the wildfires on Jan. 7, Best Friends has positively impacted the lives of more than 1,100 pets.
