Since opening in 1993, Wyncote Golf Club has been widely recognized across the industry for course layout, playing conditions, value and overall experience. In a moment of symmetry, they were ranked #30 for Public/Resort Golf Courses in the country in their 30th year of operation. When Wyncote decided they needed an upscale casual dining experience to round-out their offerings, Jon Reither, Director of Food and Beverage, was the man for the job.

Located on the Main floor, just off of the Golf Shop, The Restaurant @ Wyncote aims to create a welcoming dining experience with spectacular views of the Scottish Link-style course.

The new Restaurant @ Wyncote offers fresh locally sourced and seasonal foods, like the classic Kennett Mushroom Soup and Fish and Chip, to the more adventurous dishes like Ratatouille and Chicken Dubliner. The event space can also be rented out for private events, such as business or family events. “Business meetings, social and fundraising events, and special occasions, we can accommodate up to 125 people. The Restaurant @ Wyncote has seating for 100 people, with outdoor dining options. Our goal for our Food & Beverage operation is to be a social gathering spot for Oxford and any community within 20 minutes.” says, Jon. “For the local community and beyond, we are OPEN TO THE PUBLIC.”

“First and foremost, the space needed a new look and we recognized the opportunity to be more efficient and dynamic in our delivery of service.” explains Jon. “When the Pepple family decided to turn their dairy farm into a golf course, they made sure that Wyncote was a Public facility, not a Private Club. Although we attract golfers from a great distance, our core is this community. We love that we can provide a welcoming space for the first date to the Anniversary party.”

Wyncote prides itself in being one of the best summer jobs for teens in the area, and The Restaurant @ Wyncote will expand on those opportunities throughout all seasons. “ We like to think we are the best summer job around, over 30 yrs hosting hundreds of nervous teens on their first go around in the job market.” says Jon.

And if golfing is of interest, the course at Wyncote is open to the public. “Maintaining the golf course at a world class level has long been the priority. Led by Mark McGreevy, GCSSA, for the last 16 years, the agronomy team is both capable and passionate as evident by the list of awards received over the last 30 years!” explains Jon.

Whether you’re looking for a nice dining night out with spectacular sunset views, or a private event rental space, The Restaurant @ Wyncote can accommodate and impress! Find out at more on their website at www.wyncote.com/dining/, or visit in person at 50 Wyncote Drive Oxford, PA.
