The Chester County District Attorney’s Office posted an update on the search for escaped murderer Danelo Cavalcante on their Facebook page about an hour ago, reporting that during the late evening and overnight hours, Cavalcante was reportedly seen in the East Pikeland Township near Phoenixville.

The sighting was reported by the Upper Providence Township Police. This new development now shifts the hunt for the escaped prisoner from an eight- to ten-mile radius in southern Chester County to northern Chester County. Subsequently, it greatly widens the search for Cavalcante, who escaped the Chester County Prison on Aug. 31 and has managed to elude more than 400 local, state and federal law enforcement officers for what is now 11 days.

As evidenced by photographs supplied by the police and posted on the District Attorney’s Office Facebook page (provided in this report), Cavalcante is now clean shaven and was pictured wearing a yellow or green hooded sweatshirt, black baseball style hat, green prison pants and white shoes.
