Landhope Farms store sells $1 million Powerball ticket

01/15/2016 09:14AM ● By J. Chambless
The Landhope Farms store in Willowdale was very lucky for one Powerball ticket buyer. The store owners learned on Wednesday that a machine at the store sold a Powerball ticket worth $1 million during the frenzy surrounding this week's record $1.6 billion jackpot.
The record $1.6 billion prize will be split by winners in California, Tennessee and Florida.
There were three Pennsylvania winners who matched five white balls (4,8,19,27 and 34) but missed the Powerball, which was 10.
For selling the $1 million ticket, the store will get money from the Pennsylvania Lottery, but store owners do not know how much yet.
More than 26 million people won at least something from the Wednesday Powerball drawing. The amounts started at $4. The holder of the Powerball ticket sold at the Landhope has not yet come forward.
