A Honey Brook man was accused by Pennsylvania State Police Embreeville with ramming his car into another car after an argument. According to police, on June 18 at 3 p.m., Jason Edward Dubosq of Honey Brook got into an argument with a man from Virginia and a woman from Tennessee, which ended with Dubosq driving into the victims' car, causing minor injuries. Charges are pending in District Court.
In another incident, on June 28, a few minutes before 11 p.m., Pennsylvania State Police Embreeville cited Tyler Longacre, 20, of Honey Brook, in connection with a road rage incident and crash on Route 30 in East Caln Township. Police said Longacre was charged with harassment for punching Brandon Kaianui Akana, 31, of West Chester, and Cody Egan-Kekai Akana, 28, of Coatesville after a road rage incident and car crash.
ACCIDENT INVESTIGATION
A serious single-vehicle accident is being investigated by Kennett Square police.
According to police, on June 29 at 5:20 a.m., officers responded to a one-car accident in the 600 block of West Cypress Street. An SUV was traveling at a high rate of speed and had hit a telephone pole, overturned and spun, partially ejecting one of the occupants. The SUV then caught fire, which was extinguished by the first arriving officer.
Both occupants were taken to Christiana Hospital Trauma Center. The accident is being investigated. Anyone who witnessed the accident or has more information is asked to call corporal Richard Bell at 610-444-0501.
CARS DAMAGED IN CRASH
An unknown vehicle being driven north on Lees Bridge Road on June 15 at 12:30 a.m. left the roadway and struck two parked cars in the driveway of a home at Sand Hill and Lees Bridge roads. The impact pushed a 1991 Honda Civic into a 1999 Chevrolet Silverado 1500, damaging both cars. The driver then drove away without informing the homeowner.
FALSE ID
Pennsylvania State Police Avondale arrested Jacob Elmer Wertz, 29, of Rising Sun, Md., on July 1 after he was knocking on doors of homes on Red Pump Road in West Nottingham Township and asking for gas money. He gave police a false ID and resisted arrest.
Kelly A. Psonak was arrested by Oxford Police for providing a false ID and careless driving on June 3.
ASSAULT CHARGES
On May 4, Kenneth Walleigh was arrested by Oxford Police for three counts of aggravated assault, possession of an instrument of crime, making terroristic threats and disorderly conduct.
On June 16, Francisco Posadas-Martinez was arrested by Oxford Police for simple assault.
DUI
Pennsylvania State Police Avondale arrested Mohamed Hashim Osman, 31, of Drexel Hill, for DUI and other traffic offenses after a traffic stop on June 30 at Creek Road and Route 1 in Chadds Ford.
Kevin Malong Reyes, 21, of Kennett Square, was arrested by Pennsylvania State Police Avondale on June 21 at 1:55 a.m. at a sobriety checkpoint on Route 1. Reyes was arrested for DUI-drug, drug possession with intent to distribute, possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and careless driving.
New Garden Township police arrested Fabian Escobar-Garcia, 27, of Kennett Square, for DUI after an officer saw him driving erratically on June 28 at 1:04 a.m. on Scarlett Road. A traffic stop was conducted in the 500 block of Hillendane Road. Several empty beer bottles were on the floor of the car and Escobar-Garcia failed field sobriety tests. He was later released pending an appearance in district court.
New Garden Township police arrested Jose Zamudio, 54, of Toughkenamon, for DUI on June 28 at 8:45 p.m. afte an officer saw him driving erratically on Baltimore Pike. A traffic stop was conducted in the 100 block of Willow Street and Zamudio failed field sobriety tests. He was later released pending an appearance in district court.
