Oxford is working on solutions to parking issues

It is perceived that Oxford has a parking problem. This is untrue. We have a parking committee that is working very hard with all of Oxford business owners to make the best use of our present parking availability—both free and metered parking. This committee offers solutions not problems.
In addition Oxford Mainstreet has monthly meetings scheduled for merchants to discuss concerns. Many people don't know that the majority of the parking meters accept five cents for 12 minutes, ten cents for 24 minutes and 25 cents for an hour with a two-hour limit at the present time. You can't find a better deal for parking anywhere in the area. I and a lot of other merchants give customers coins to put in the meters, so in many cases parking is free for potential customers. We have solutions in Oxford, not problems.
