Hopewell Elementary School students excel at county science fair

Five Hopewell Elementary School students participated in the recent Chester County Science Fair sponsored by the Chester County Intermediate Unit and held at the Chester County Technical College High School, Pickering Campus. Sixth grader Mackenzie Harrison earned second place for her project on fruit flies, while sixth graders Julia Hartman, Sierra Cullen and Lexi Broomell and fifth grader Lexi Hollick earned honorable mentions.
Mackenzie advanced to the Delaware Valley Science Fair, held April 2 at the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center in Oaks, PA, which serves as a state competition. She also qualified to apply to participate in the National Science Fair in Washington, D.C.
