'Grease' is the word at Unionville High School

03/05/2014 02:21PM ● By Acl

The Unionville High School Music Department presents the musical 'Grease' from March 6 to 8 at 7:30 p.m. in the auditorium.

The musical, set in 1959 at the fictional Rydell High School, follows ten working-class teenagers as they navigate the complexities of love. In its record-breaking original Broadway production, it was a raw, aggressive show. It has since been revised as a much-performed musical with family-friendly songs and themes.

Best known for its movie adaptation, which starred a young John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John, the musical includes the songs "Summer Nights," "Greased Lightnin'" and "Beauty School Dropout."

Tickets are $12 in advance at www.showtix4U.com, or $14 at the door ($12 for students and seniors). For more information, e-mail [email protected].
