Kennett High School senior to play lacrosse for Lafayette College

Kennett High School senior Kristin Schaen signed a letter of intent on Nov. 15 to play lacrosse for a Division I team at Lafayette College.
In addition to playing varsity lacrosse for four years, Schaen earned varsity letters in field hockey, indoor track, and swimming. On the lacrosse field, she plays as either a midfielder or an attacker. She plays right wing in field hockey and during indoor track competes as a sprinter and pole vaulter.
Her athletic honors include the best shooting percentage on the lacrosse team in 2013; third team all-league attacker; and Philly National team member. In field hockey, she was first team all-league in 2013, second team all-league in 2012; and the best offensive player in 2011, 2012, and 2013.
Off the field, Schaen is on the distinguished honor roll and is a member of the National Honor Society. She intends to study international economics and commerce at Lafayette College.
