Cub Scouts collect food for Oxford

Earlier this month, Cub Scouts Pack 213 collected canned goods for Christmas food boxes in Oxford. On Nov. 9, the scouts distributed 400 grocery bags in Oxford. On Nov. 16, they collected canned goods and delivered them to the Oxford Presbyterian Church.
Pack 213 consists of Tigers, Wolves, Bears and Webelos I & II, ages 6 to 11.
Oxford Presbyterian Church will be providing Christmas dinners for needy families in the Oxford area on Dec. 21. Last year, food boxes were given to 141 families. The Food Box Committee has been working since September to prepare for the event. Volunteers are needed the week of Dec. 15, at the following times:
Dec. 20, 9 a.m. – Sort canned food and prepare for packing the food boxes in the church's fellowship hall;
Dec. 20 at 6:30 p.m. – Pack and organize the food boxes for delivery and pickup;
Dec. 21 at 9 a.m. – Hand out Christmas food boxes and deliver boxes to families between 9 a.m. and noon. Call Eryn (610-932-9640) to be a driver or a helper. Volunteers should arrive at 8:45 a.m.
